Monday (May 10th) we introduced you to our most recent partnership with Treedefi (https://treedefi.com/).
To get to know our latest partner we held a community AMA in the @koaladefichat telegram group.

For those who’ve missed it, we’ve written a summary of the AMA, so you can get to know Treedefi. We are looking forward to a bright and green future!

Can you tell us about your project and what treedefi adds to the DEFI playground?

TreeDefi is a yield farming protocol like many others but our tokenomics and goal for the project differentiate us from others.
We have a two token system, SEED and TREE. SEED is an uncapped token whose emission deflates by 2% each week. And TREE is a capped token with a supply of only 16001 TREE.

So basically SEED is the main force behind farms while TREE is the rare token used for governance and special events. A governance token is basically a fancy way to say that holding a token allows you to have a say in what happens with the future of the project. It plays into the DeFi concept, allowing users to decide what happens next.

You can stake them both. But SEED has more freedom with farms. TREE is present in less farms because of the limited supply. And there’s only one pool that allows users to receive TREE as a reward, which comes from the dev wallet. I would personally farm SEED and buy TREE with it. But our users have started loving SEED way more than TREE recently. Could be because of the amount of Launch Pools that we deployed last week, they were all SEED based mostly.

We also focus a lot of tree planting. And we do that through 1/3 of our deposit fees. They go to various tree planting organizations picked by us and our community

Can you tell us about the team behind treedefi.com and how you came up with the great idea to start saving trees?

Yes we’re a team of around 8 people currently between devs, graphic designers, marketers and innovators and we have tons of helpers from the community. They’re actually becoming quite independent right now and some are leading the Brazilian side of our project. It makes me so proud. And drives me to work harder when I see how hard the Tree Huggers are working for the success of the project

The idea to save trees came from a quick look outside the office window, haha! We saw trees, and it clicked, it just made sense. I personally love nature and I’d rather spend my life in a forest than a club. So having a project like this makes me extremely happy. We’re helping together my favorite thing on planet earth.

We have our own forest with Treedom too! Where users can see pictures of the trees planted and their life story.

Currently treedefi.com is having a donations week, we asked the team to tell us a bit about the good work they are doing.

Donation week is something we’re doing this week to thank the community for the recent growth of the project. We will donate $1000 dollars each day for the next 6 days (since we already started yesterday) to various tree planting organizations that we love, and that our users recommend too. Hopefully donation week becomes a regular occurance in the near future, we would love to donate as much as possible and give this project a real world application. We will donate more towards Australia. And I can’t wait to travel there

How about the NFTrees and are you going to do IDO’s?

NFTrees continue our objective of bringing DeFi to the real world. Each NFTree is backed by a real life oxygen exhaling tree. That way the owner of the NFTree can not only have a digital artpiece but also a real life counterpart to that

We’re planning to do IDO’s in the future for charity organisations that wanna do fundraising through Defi. More info on that when we’re near the objective
